I do not understand why people would want to put their lives at risk for a cause that will never change anything. The corrupt government is already so corrupt that it just basks in its corruption day in and day out, right under the noses of its people. No amount of rallies or protests are going to change anything, not for the better at least. It'd only be a waste of tear gas and water.
I wish to reiterate once more that Malaysia is a failed state as a result of the years of corruption it has immersed itself in since the day it gained its independence. True, the motive in the beginning was noble, but not anymore.
I think just giving up all hope is the best option. Then you'd live in ignorance and try to leave asap. Who cares anyway.
